Design intent

There are shirts you buy for how they look in the store and shirts you buy because they look better the longer you own them. The Far Voyager is built for the second category. Inspired by the timeless military field shirt, it keeps the proportions, utility, and character that have endured for generations. The only thing we changed was the part that never needed to be difficult: fastening the shirt. Hidden magnetic closures replace traditional buttons beneath a classic button-front appearance. It looks like the field shirt you know. It simply wears more easily.

Design inspiration

The reference is the US Army OG-107 utility shirt, the standard-issue fatigue top worn by American military personnel from the early 1950s through the Vietnam era. OG-107 - Olive Green shade 107, the exact drab the Army arrived at after exhaustive field trials, adopted by everyone from agricultural workers to protest musicians precisely because it communicated utility without status. The U.S. ARMY name tape conveys what the shirt holds in its story and what it expresses without requiring the wearer to say anything at all.

Craft details

The boxy fit is cut with extra ease through the chest and a high armhole to allow full movement without the shirt riding up. Twin chest pockets are constructed with a single box pleat at the centre fold and sit parallel to the shoulder seam, exactly as in the original issue pattern. The magnetic closure system along the front placket and each pocket flap; all magnets are heat-welded into a reinforced woven casing before assembly, protecting field strength through machine washing. The shirt is fully garment-washed post-construction - seams, buttons, and magnetic units are stress-tested through the complete wash cycle before leaving the factory.
