Design intent

The light blue short-sleeve shirt is one of the most reliable garments in a summer wardrobe - worn open at the collar over a tee, thrown on for a beach dinner, reaching for it before anything else when the temperature rises. What if bonus points didn't require the usual routine of aligning a placket and fastening every button? The Rivage keeps the look of a classic Cuban-collar stripe while replacing the fastening process with something easier. It looks familiar. It wears differently. That's why it exists.

Design inspiration

Two design traditions run through the Rivage. The Cuban collar became the summer shirt standard across the Mediterranean and Caribbean from the 1950s. Paired with the Western shirt’s yoke seam, borrowed for its geometric force rather than rodeo associations, the result is a shirt that reads as both resort and considered. The Three-way stripe reads as three distinct surfaces depending on where you look. "Rivage" - French for shoreline - is the image the shirt is built toward: dressed enough, unbothered enough, indifferent to whether you're on land or near the water.

Craft details

The shell is a cotton-polyester woven stripe - breathable and structured enough. The front yoke panels are cut on the 45° bias; the back yoke is cut on the horizontal grain; the body panels below both yokes carry the vertical stripe. The Cuban collar is lightly interfaced so it sits open without flopping. The hidden magnetic closure system in the placket and pocket flaps aligns automatically when the two sides meet. Externally, it reads as a standard buttoned shirt with no visible hardware. All magnets are heat-welded into reinforced pockets before assembly for long-term wash durability.
